Religion Market Abuses and Religious Conversion in Cameroon Urban Areas

This research note aims to examine the effect of religion market abuses on religious conversion, particularly non-transmission preferences from parents their offspring. Based a field survey 1,475 individuals in cities Douala and Yaoundé, this seeks understand dynamics socio-economic forces that lead abandonment parents’ religions. The econometric results reveal explanatory factors for changes often vary one another. With exception Pentecostals, Catholic, Protestant, Muslim believers who believe is rife with abuse are less likely change preferences. Increased income can significantly induce among Protestants Pentecostals.
